Good day. I am a self taught programmer. Mostly stand alone Micrologix PLC's controlling equipment. I am taking a new step. I just learned to use MSG and have 2 ML PLC's communicate over Ethernet thanks to Youtube. I just picked up spread spectrum radio modems off of Ebay. I would like to communicate like a mini SCADA system.
I assume I will use DF1 Radio modem and assign nodes to each PLC? (thats a question / statement)
Am I to use MSG instructions in this type of communication or will I be sending N: integers?
I ask because I have uploaded a SLC 5/05 program that is presently communicating across town and there is no MSG instruction in the ladder logic. There are however a bit of MOV instruction to N: files.
I am greatly appreciative of any help I could get.
