Micro820 to com with Idec HMI

Hey folks,

I'm currently working on an Idec HG2G HMI to a Micro 820 PLC via Modbus TCIP . HMI set as client. 

I am having errors on the HMI that suggest the PLC is sending odd info that it does not understand.

(Communication error:READ ID:00h 0) then No reply from Ext. device.Confirm PLC, Cable, Com. settings. 

Anyone out there ever worked a AB Micro 820 PLC with a Idec HG2G HMI?

According to Modbus RTU it should work but I'm having no luck.
