I am using CompactLogix for the first time. I have set up a counter used for my encoder in linear setup to detect/control position using an incremental encoder. My question is can I use the Local:3:I.CtroStoredCount field to feed back into "CurrentCount" after a power loss? If this can be done; exactly what steps do I need to take to set this up? I was thinking that once I stop the machine, I would use my "Stop_Command" to trigger the "currentCount" to be written into the "StoredCount" field but not sure what I would need to do within the counter setup parameters.
